Brehon Law & Culture

What is not as widely known about our ancestors is their culture and community in antiquity. The Brehon Laws were really very 'modern' in certain senses, and operated on a commitment to restoration, rather than retribution. The Irish strove to fix damage that was done by violating a law, rather then punishing for the sake of punishment.

The Brehon Laws stand out as a topic of study themselves, but they were so intertwined with society and culture its impossible to ignore how the two worked together.
